Tranch has expanded the Pay Now offering to include the ability for clients to manually connect banking details without using Plaid.

What does this mean for clients?

Prior to this update, clients wishing to use Pay Now needed to connect their banking institution using our secure payments provider Plaid. While this is still the quickest and easiest way to connect banking, not every client was able to do so. This new release allows those unable to connect via Plaid to manually input their bank account details, verify them, and complete payments using the benefits of ACH and Real-Time payments offered by Pay Now.

What does this mean for you, the partner?

Tranch’s expanded Pay Now product means even more clients can utilize Pay Now to complete their payments, ensuring your invoices and statements of work can be paid regardless of the banking limitations of clients.

What do Manual Pay Now Payments look like?

The Pay Now experience that clients have come to know and love has not changed. It is still as simple, easy, and secure to connect banking via Plaid as it has ever been. The only difference in the client experience is a new on-page toggle between Authenticated Payments (Plaid) and Manual Payments (New) as seen below:

Clients can select from an extended list of financial institutions or select the option to create one if not found. They are then asked to select account type and input routing and account numbers. When done, selecting ‘Add Bank’ will begin the verification process. Tranch will attempt to verify the account using the details provided. If the account cannot be verified, payment is still possible, though the client will be alerted that the account has not been verified and that they should proceed with caution.

Once the client has inputted their banking information, selecting ‘Pay Now’ at the bottom will complete the transaction just as it has done previously.
