Tranch’s priority is the security of all users and the protection of data. As such, we offer the option for all Tranch users - regardless of account type - to configure 2FA for an additional layer of security.

What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

2FA is an additional layer of security that allows users to add another verification step when logging in. This additional step can be configured using three methods: SMS/text verification, authentication code via preferred authentication app, or by connecting an existing Google or Microsoft account to utilize single-sign-on (SSO). When enabled by each user, attempts to login without both methods of authentication will prevent access to sensitive data.

Why Use 2FA?

2FA’s dual-authentication prevents cybercriminals from hacking or accessing sensitive data and has been shown to avert 99.99% of unwanted access by unauthorized parties. Tranch’s multiple authentication methods mean users can further secure their accounts without introducing complexity to their day-to-day use of Tranch.
