Tranch has released an additional layer of protection in order to augment its already best-in-class security.

What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

2FA is an additional layer of security that allows users to add another verification step when logging in. This additional step can be configured using three methods: SMS/text verification, authentication code via preferred authentication app, or by connecting an existing Google or Microsoft account to utilize single-sign-on (SSO). When enabled by each user, attempts to login without both methods of authentication will prevent access to sensitive data.

Why Use 2FA?

2FA’s dual-authentication prevents cybercriminals from hacking or accessing sensitive data and has been shown to avert 99.99% of unwanted access by unauthorized parties. Tranch’s multiple authentication methods mean users can further secure their accounts without introducing complexity to their day-to-day use of Tranch.

How do I configure 2FA for my Account?

  1. Login to your Tranch account using the link below:
    1. https://tranch.com/auth/login/
  2. Open the ‘Accounts’ page located in the lefthand navigation menu
  3. Select preferred method(s) to enable and follow instructions
  4. When complete, log out of Tranch and all future logins will be secured with multi-factor authentication

Settings can be updated in the ‘Account’ section of the lefthand navigation menu

Who is 2FA for?

All Tranch accounts - regardless of whether a firm employee or a firm client - can enable 2FA for enhanced account security. Note that while we encourage 2FA enabled on all accounts, it is not enabled by default, is not mandatory, and we do not have the ability to auto-set 2FA for firm employees or clients.
